Tasty Tuesday !!!

What up BLOG followers !!!! I was actually asked, "when are you gonna BLOG again" so here I sit...

Tasty Tuesday is for no particular reason besides the fact that it ryhymes !!! Maybe i should have titled it Teryl Tuesday but then again I have to work tonight so it's not like I'm gonna get my beverage time ON !!! Darnit... Oh well...

So since my last BLOG, the spousal unit has gone back to work (he was on vacation) FINALLY.. He knows if he reads this he will understand & not be offended !! It's just that if he is home I feel as if I can't get everything accomplished that is necessary.. I get roped into playing guitar hero instead of folding laundry. Or sitting on the couch & watching a movie or something & not cleaning a toilet... So yesterday was my 1st official day at home w/ no distractions & wow the things that I accomplished I should have totally gotten a gold star.. So I hung up the gold star that my lovies @ the bank gave me for myself in rememberance of how AWESOME it feels to get stuff accomplished... and just because I am AWESOME... :)

So maybe some of you read in my FB post that I had a proud Mama moment... Ok so here is a little more detail.. Ya see, I was hoping that Mack got accepted into this reading program called Reading Recovery.. Which is intense 1 on 1 for 30 min a day at school for like 12 weeks (Walker did this & it made a HUGE difference). Well his teacher came out to me last week & said "I have good/bad news, Mack wasn't accepted into R.R. because he is doing such great work on reading". Mack has gone from a pre-a in reading from begining of the year to a E level.. Which is absolutely spectacular... He has been a challenging little man pretty much since birth.. Not behavior but always seemed to be about 6 months behind his peers. But he has made such HUGE strides recently & everything seems to be clickin for the little man.. So when he read the word "dangerous" last night w/ NO help I was so proud... He is reading constantly & I feel this huge weight lifted !! Knowing that not only is my job being done but the teachers he surrounds himself w/ only lift him up ... Praise God !!!!

Mayson Taylor wore a skirt for the 1st time yesterday to school in 2 years... FO REAL !! She was very adament about wearing this & she actually got mad at me because I didn't buy the one she wanted on Thrusday night (a black/red plaid) after I got off of work for her V-day party ... Whatever.. So we went to Target on Sunday & got the 1 she wanted... But here is how the convo went in the dressing room.... "Mayson, I am totally cool w/ you wearing a skirt, but 2mrow will you wear a pretty shirt instead of a hammy down Tony Hawk skater shirt with it, please"... She said yes mom but maybe next week I can wear my skateboard shirts with it & leggings & boots.. I said that is just fine child.. She is so individual & I absolutely love that about her !!!

Walker Thomas... Oh brother.... He video taped (on his cell) how to make a homemade lava lamp yesterday... I thought of course this is totally killer right.. The more I got to thinking about it i was like... Hey your not suppose to have your cell phone in class dude.. And if you get caught with it your BUSTED... He sheepishly smiled & I said well I am glad that your so interested in science but dude you can't have your cell going in class... He didn't respond...

Oh the joy of kids... I know this post wasn't going to have any of your laughing but... WHATEVER ... Then quit reading & go back to work... :)
